We welcome our families to join us to explore Mandarin in a non-class setting. In addition to providing a linguistic and cultural experience, we hope to build long-lasting communities and friendships.
Sumer Camp 2010
On July 29th, we celebrated the conclusion of summer camp with a wild dress up party. Children donned costumes and showcased their talents in dancing!
Chinese New Year 2010 Book Event
We welcomed the Year of the Tiger on February 6, 2010. Author Michele Wong McSween and The Mandarin Treehouse hosted another fun book event at apple seeds. The tiger puppets were a huge hit and the children also enjoyed creating their own tiger wooden dolls!
Moon Cake Festival Storytime
On Sunday, September 13th, we joined giggle and hosted a special storytime event to celebrate the mid-Autumn festival. Children enjoyed an interactive storytelling of The Very Hungry Snake and The Lost Mooncake. They also participated in decorating hand puppets and lanterns.

We celebrated Chinese New Year 2009 at apple
seeds. Author Michele Wong McSween shared her new book Gordon & Li Li.
After the reading, children participated in a variety of fun activities
including coloring, making sparkly gift boxes and trying out calligraphy!
